Patton Space Heater Reviews
Space heaters are great for many things. They save you money when you use them to heat only the room you are in. They warm cold spots in your home. Small space heaters can warm one side of a large room if you like things toasty and your partner or roommate likes things a little on the cooler side. Before you spend money on a space heater, such as the Patton space heater, keep reading to find out what you need to look for and which space heaters meet the mark.
What Is the Patton Space Heater?

There are five things you need to look for in a space heater. These are the type of heater, heating capacity, energy efficiency, safety features and noise level. Space heaters come in different styles, but the three types of technology electric heaters use are radiant, convection and fan-forced. Convection heaters are ideal for even, whole-room heating. Radiant heaters are used to quickly deliver heating in specific small spaces. Fan-forced heaters blow air across a heating element and convection heaters offer quick, widespread heat efficiently.
Typically, your space heater should have 10 watts of power per square foot of space when being used as a supplementary heat source. This means if you want to heat a 150-square foot room, you want a 1,500 watt heater. To keep your electric bill down, look for heaters with special features such as programmable timers, low wattage, adjustable thermostats or energy saving modes. To mitigate the risk of fire, burns or the unit overheating, look for safety features such as automatic shut-off if the unit is tipped over, timers, units that shut off when the desired temperature of the room is reached and units which are cool to the touch.

The Patton space heater is quiet and features fan-forced convection coil heat which forces warm air around the entire room. You can watch TV with it on undisturbed, but it may be a bit too loud for some people trying to sleep. It is more ideal for workrooms, basements or garages than the bedroom. It only has low and high heat settings but comes with an automatic thermostat.
To enhance safety, it automatically shuts off if it tips over and it comes with convenient front guards to further protect your floor in case it falls on its face. These safety bars also mitigate the risk of you touching the hot front of the unit while the fan is blowing 120-degree air. The fan not only blows hot air around the room; it also prevents the element from overheating and automatically shuts off to protect the unit.
It comes in charcoal and is 10.31" by 7.72" by 14.65". It is not pretty to look at but it warms or heats rooms quickly and efficiently and automatically shuts off when the room is at the pre-set temperature to save you money on your electric bill.
Prices are always changing, but electric personal space heaters can cost under $10 on Amazon or at Walmart while gas space heaters for entire rooms can cost closer to $200. While gas heaters are cheaper to run than electric heaters, the electric heaters cost a lot less upfront. What matters more than the type of heater you buy is the safety features, efficiency, special features and how it looks in your room.

Overall, we have to give the Patton space heater four out of five stars. You can purchase one on Amazon for around $114 and it puts out up to an impressive 1500 watts of power. While some space heaters have three power settings, this only has two, but we were impressed by the safety features, including that it automatically shuts off when tipped over. This space heater is built to last and is backed by an impressive five-year warranty. It is not much to look at but is ideal for use in workshops, garages and utility rooms. It is light and comes with a convenient, durable carry handle for simple and safe portability.
On the other hand, we have to give the Comfort Zone oscillating space heater five out of five stars. We were not impressed by the warranty but the quality is worth much more than the price. It is the best value on this list. It is safe, effective, highly portable and cost-efficient. It automatically shuts off when your room reaches your pre-set temperature and will save you money on repairs on your central heating and air unit due to the reduced wear and tear, not to mention your monthly electric bill.
It will also reduce its power output when the room gets closer to the ideal temperature. Nobody but you can know what type of heater suits your needs, but our money is on the Comfort Zone oscillating space heater.
